Well in the spirit of Tim and his Christmas tags I have made one of my own!
I purchased the tall pines texture fades embossing folder yesterday and tonight I thought I would have a play.
So I got the cuttlebug out and ran a Kaszazz chipboard tag through and embossed the trees on the tag.
Then I got my favorite inks out. :) Yes you know it.
Tim Holtz Distressed Inks.
I coloured the whole tag with broken china using the blending tool, then got a little impaitent and slapped on a bit more ink direct from the pad.
Then gave the whole tag a spray with the Kaszazz Smooch Spritz Electric Blue.
Then direct to tag again with the crushed olive just over the trees.
A little brushed corduroy over the trunks. Then a little blending around the edges of the tag with the blending tool and brushed corduroy.
Then......got the Moonlight Smooch out and dotted all over the 'sky' area. Hey it needed snow. :)
Got the 'A Very Merry Christmas' stamp 1865LE (only available from Kaszazz) and stamped it on a scrap of white card and cut off the start of the words. I used the brushed corduroy to stamp it. I trimmed the card to look like a banner, then inked over the card using a blending tool with Barn Door. Then wiped a smudge of brushed corduroy over the whole banner. I shaped the banner and put magic mount under the raised parts to give it support.
I found a couple of ribbons and needed a red so I coloured a white ribbon with barn door and brushed corduroy to give continuity to the tag.
Got a aged bronze spiral out and stuck that on the side with a rhinestone in the centre. I particularly like the Kaszazz rhinestones as they have a great sparkle to them.
Now I did go a little nuts with the ice stickles, crystal ice. I applied it thick and lumpy, I wanted the texture.
Well that is it. Hope you like it.
Oh BTW if you would like to see Tim's work.
