Hello Everyone!!!!
Well I have just realised that I have not posted in a very long time....hmmmm very naughty of me. I have been crafting, not as much as I want as I hurt my back 4 months ago and sitting for anything longer that 10 minutes at the craft table just doesn't work... :( (big sad face)
But I have done a few things and with mothers day coming up I was watching one of my favorite card making channels on YouTube and saw this Split Coast Stampers Tutorial.
So I will share my inspiration on this card and the link to their tutorial so you can also do this very cool card.
I used Bo Bunny papers and Tim Holtz distress pens and inks, and Black archival ink. The stamps are Kaszazz and My Favorite Things.
My other half....if you ask him the better half...lol... wanted to do a special card for his mum. He had a childhood Polaroid that was in very bad condition that he wanted to use. I took one look at the card and thought this won't work.
All the emulsion is cracked and it is a matter of time before it falls off. Sooooo I photocopied the card and got to work with the Distress pens and gave the picture a couple of colour accents, festive berries for the shirt, mustard seed for the mike and broken china for the box. Then I coloured the whole thing with Antique Linen Distress ink and applied it with a blending foam. Then I inked the edges with Vintage Photo using a blending foam and tool. The second photo I did the same but no festive berries.
All the Bo bunny papers are inked with vintage photo and the ones with the roses have a bit of Antique Linen in the centre. Also the same with the white card in the middle for writing the sentiment.
The base card stock is Black textured card stock.
Had a bit of fun stamping on the pictures and the panels. Basically did it all in black with the exception of the stars, clouds and moon, they were in distress ink, vintage photo and mustard seed for the moon.
Enough rambling, hope you enjoy the card and have fun making your own.
Samantha
