Getting back into the swing of things.

Well it has been some time since I have been a good girl and updated my blog...better late than never!
I have been soooooo busy for the last 5 or 6 months with packing up the house to sell, actually selling it and moving to the other side of the country! But we have survived!
All my craft stuff was the first to get packed and shipped. I have missed it a lot.
My friend Fallon came to visit me in the 2nd week of January and helped me find some of my things. So I was able to start playing. So now I have had my craft fix I thought the next thing is to do the blog.
I also went on the Facebook detox program and cancelled it! Cold turkey!
You know I haven't missed it. I didn't realise how much of my time it ate away!
So I have got a couple of pictures to share with you all.

This is a Cheery Lynn Die with Tim Holtz Salty Ocean distressed ink blended over it while it was still in the frame. Love this technique as it is so easy and looks beautiful! I used a couple of the Martha Stewart punches and Also Cheery Lynn vine die. The flowers are some I found in my stash and I just put them together with Brads. I also inked everything with the same ink, including the flowers. I used a little Mowed Lawn distress ink on the vine. It was a enjoyable card to make with just using bits and pieces of scraps. Over all I think it came out nicely.

So I also splurged a little and bought myself a Big Shot Pro. I think that I might have a little bit of fun with this!

Yesterday I entered a scrap challenge with the local scrapbooking shop. This is some of the items in the pack, I sat there looking at this stuff for about an hour trying to decide what I wanted to do. I think that the finished project came up quite well and will share the finished project with you later.

This is a cute card that I water coloured with the aqua wash brushes and Tim Holtz distress ink. The stamped image is with dark brown fluid chalk and using water colour paper. The eyes, nose and paws are coloured with a black marker and then Glossy accent to give them depth.

Anyway I will try to keep up to date with my posts. I am really enjoying playing at the moment and not being loyal to any brand just grabbing from the shelf what takes my fancy or popping into my new favorite scrapbooking shop and indulging in what goodies they have on their shelves!
So hope you are all well and remember to be happy and take some time to enjoy life and the ride to get there!
